Join Us For Our Annual Diversity Days (Rally & Movie)!

Held each September, “Diversity Days” is the name given to the Race Unity Rally, movie screening and associated activities. America continues to struggle with troubling racial and social issues. Diversity Days is an annual reminder that we all need to recognize and appreciate our diversity and work together to make our community a better place for everyone.

Unity Rally

The CommUNITY Diversity Group of La Grange Area (CDG) holds the Race Unity Rally on the second Sunday in September.  Held at La Grange Village Hall for many years, the short program is multi-faceted and typically includes a Race Unity Day Proclamation by the Village of La Grange, a music performance, a featured speaker, and elementary and high school youth. Another major component is a presentation to deserving community members of the Minnie Carr Community Service Award and the Lifetime Diversity Achievement Award.
