In April 2024, CDG hosted 40+ executive leaders and board members from community organizations and churches to attend an all day workshop “Animating Antiracist Ways of Being” facilitated by Crossroads Antiracism Organizing and Training. Participants had an opportunity to learn about systemic racism, barriers that can interfere with an institution’s intention to create diverse, fair and welcoming spaces, and possible solutions. Follow-up workshops were held in October 2024 and May 2025 where leaders reviewed what they had previously learned and consulted with each other on progress towards their goals.
